Young anonimous boy playing with toy soldiers I don’t think this was a goal.
- Yes it was!!!!
- Well I believe we need someone to be a referee[1]/judge in our game.
- No! I am a referee.
- You can’t be a player and a referee at the same time. That’s ridiculous!
- No it’s not! That’s how we play in Belgrade.
It was a dispute I had with one person very used to getting his way. While we were playing he’s been scoring goals everywhere. At the same time mine were not awarded due to a wide range of reasons that were popping up spontaneously following the “referees” criteria.
It was very hard to follow the rules and it would be even harder to keep on playing if my big brother hadn’t come in and gave me an important tip on how to play the game:
- It’s very simple. As long as you understand the “principal rule”.
- And what is that?
- He must win. – He said while laughing.
It would be very frustrating to continue playing if the opponent hadn’t been my five year old nephew.
I quickly adopted the “principal rule” and, after getting a massive beating, the match was finished. Everyone was happy. Although something similar is happening in the USA today, I am not so sure there could be the same outcome.
In a very short period of time Mr. President has stricken many goals. However he is playing similar to my nephew. He acts upon his own “principal rule” as a player and a referee/judge at the same time. Same as my nephew, he gets upset when his goals are ruled out and demands full acknowledgment of the “principal rule”.
In a an incredible outburst of efficiency to fulfil his electoral promises, Mr. President has played his game “fantastically” and “amazingly” “wonderful”, but still only according to his own criteria. But the fundamental difference between him and my nephew is that one of them is very sweet and has great prospects of learning the difference between the good and bad. The other one doesn’t. (I leave it to the reader to reflect upon which one is it.)
So, unless the game is soon interrupted, Mr. President is going to keep on bouncing the ball in all the directions clamming goals and demanding points to be scored.
